Dapper Labs Allows NFT Withdrawals

Dapper Labs has announced that it will allow users affected by the European Union’s sanctions against Russia to withdraw their NBA Top Shot, NFL All Day and UFC Strike NFTs from their Dapper Wallet to a Blocto wallet, according to an email sent to its users.

The company also states that its previous action to restrict Russia-related accounts was the result of a directive from Circle, the major peer-to-peer payment technology company behind USDC, which acts as Dapper’s payment processing and other stored service partner.

The Dapper team said in an email to its users:

“Circle maintains custody of client funds, in which case we had to comply with its instructions and suspend accounts linked to Russia, but we did not close any of these accounts”

He also noted that his swift move to stay compliant was made to prioritize the safety of the community.
