Deloitte Consulting is considering using blockchain technology to create digital credentials that can be used for everything from regulatory compliance in banking and decentralized finance to age verification for e-commerce.
In a statement made by Deloitte, it stated that reusable credentials will be connected to the KILT Blockchain and the goal is to make authentication more efficient for both businesses and customers.
Micha Bitterli, Deloitte Head of Managed Services, said in a statement:
“Convenient, cost-effective and secure digital credentials have the potential to open up new digital marketplaces, from e-commerce and DeFi to gaming.”
Ingo Rübe, CEO of BOTLabs, said in a statement that the technology helps users “have control over when and where they share their personal information.”
