Departures from Binance are not slowing down: Russia is next!

Recently, Binance’s global head of product and design, Mayur Kamat, officially submitted his resignation. Kamat is just one of several senior executives who have left Binance recently. Other names that recently left Binance include chief strategy officer Patrick Hillman, general counsel Hon Ng, and chief operating officer Yibo Ling.

Eastern Europe Vice President Gleb Kostarev, who recently announced the separation decision, said the following in his announcement in Russian:

“I am leaving my position as Vice President responsible for Eastern Europe, CIS, Turkey, Australia and New Zealand. I also resigned from APAC a few months ago. “Thank you to all the local initiative teams for their hard work and amazing campaigns at the local level.”

The executive expressed his gratitude to Binance CEO Changpeng “CZ” Zhao and co-founder He Yi for all the opportunities they provided. Binance consequently lost two key executives involved in the Russian market amid sanctions and regulatory confrontations.

Binance CEO CZ made a statement about the recent events and said that there is no problem. Stating that the negative statements were put forward for FUD purposes, he expressed his views as follows:

Some of our team members are growing into larger roles. Some will be located outside Binance. Some are pursuing new exciting ventures. I even provided introductions/references to many of them. We support everyone. We are one community.
