Dogecoin (DOGE) Co-Founder Makes An Important Statement

One of the founders of the Dogecoin (DOGE) project posted an important reminder on his Twitter account about his connection to cryptocurrency.

Billy Markus announced in his post that he is no longer working on Dogecoin. Markus left the meme coin exactly seven and a half years ago and stated that he would never start working on it again, despite being one of the Doge’s greatest ambassadors.

Although some users do not support his decision, his intention is to show what decentralization really is. While Dogecoin is not the most technically advanced ecosystem in the industry, it is still going through an active development process despite not being a “leader.”

Although far from the core of the project, Markus believes that with the speculation around it, the Dogecoin ecosystem is getting healthier. He also added that the main priority that the Dogecoin team should focus on now and in the future is utility.

As for the price of Dogecoin, Markus has repeatedly told his subscribers that he feels nothing about it. The community is disappointed that DOGE has lost more than 85% of its value since its all-time high. While

DOGE shows no signs of potential reversal as DOGE has fallen, it has continued to lose value over the past 200 days, making it one of the worst performing assets in the crypto market.
