IT engineer Billy Markus, who co-created Dogecoin with Jackson Palmer in 2013, shared his views on the current crypto bear market, why it’s happening, and how long it might take.
In a tweet that was partly a joke, Markus shared that he expects the crypto market to “event eventually.” However, he pointed out that this may take some time:
When asked whether this crypto sale would be “fast and aggressive” and result in a strong bounce, Markus expressed his disagreement, citing the dire state of the global economy.
The previous crypto winter also lasted for roughly four years, starting in January 2018 and lasting until 2021, when Bitcoin hit an all-time high of $63,500 in April and then rallied to around $69,000 in November.
