An Ethereum (ETH) whale, known for holding the token since its initial coin offering (ICO), has recently made a significant move that has caught the attention of the crypto community. On Monday, according to blockchain analyst Spot on Chain, this prominent investor transferred a staggering 7,000 ETH—equivalent to approximately $13.8 million—to the crypto exchange Kraken.
This transaction comes at a turbulent time for the cryptocurrency market, as fears of a potential U.S. recession have contributed to a sharp decline in prices. Currently, Ether has dropped to $1,760, marking its lowest point since October 2023, although it has since rebounded slightly to around $1,900.
