Eclipse Foundation brings Solana VM to Ethereum
The Eclipse Foundation, together with users in Solana and the Ethereum community, is launching the Eclipse mainnet with high-level projects already available in the live ecosystem of the network.
November 7, 2024 – The Eclipse Foundation announced the public mainnet of Eclipse, the first Solana Virtual Machine (SVM) L2 built on Ethereum. Eclipse combines the high speed and parallel processing capabilities of Solana with the security and liquidity of Ethereum, giving developers the ability to build on Ethereum. Thus, it enables you to benefit from the scalability and user experience advantages of Solana Virtual Machine. In this way, Eclipse eliminates the divide in the market that in the past forced developers and users to choose between the two leading ecosystem options.
This launch marks a significant milestone in Eclipse’s mission to serve the Ethereum and Solana communities as a bridge between the two most influential ecosystems in the blockchain space.
