Tesla CEO Elon Musk has filed a lawsuit against social media giant Twitter.
Elon Musk has filed a lawsuit against Twitter’s lawsuit for the continuation of the $44 billion deal, Reuters reported.
The case was filed in secret, according to Reuters.
Although the document on the subject has been sealed, it was stated that a revised version could be made public.
After the “fake account” dispute with Twitter, Elon Musk made an official application to withdraw from buying Twitter. Twitter said in a May filing that 5% of accounts were fake.
Twitter filed a lawsuit on July 12 to complete the deal, after Elon Musk gave up on the purchase.
Twitter Will Hold Shareholder Voting
Social media giant Twitter will hold a shareholder vote on September 13 for the company’s sale to Tesla CEO Elon Musk.
In a letter to shareholders, Twitter recommended that the vote be approved.
Corporate governance expert Nell Minow said that Twitter’s move was not accidental. The social media giant is probably making moves to strengthen its hand before legal action.
