The Tesla CEO’s legal team has filed a new request to delay the lawsuit filed by the social media company. Musk announced that Twitter should drop the case for the acquisition process to progress.
While the case is expected to be heard on October 17, various correspondences of Elon Musk on Twitter were also leaked to the press.
In the leaked interviews, it was revealed that FTX CEO Sam Bankman-Fried was also interested in acquiring the social media giant.
Musk said he would not complete the transaction based on debt financing that was not part of the original deal. The Tesla CEO believes the lawsuit is unnecessary, as he wants to complete the purchase at the initially agreed price of $54.20 per share.
Twitter board members continue to discuss the issue. Executives can either continue the court process until Musk secures the funding to complete the purchase, or try financial structuring for the price Musk is offering.
