Elon Musk reacted to the news that Sam Bankman-Fried invested in Twitter.
Twitter’s new owner accused SBF-funded news outlet Semafor of making fake news.
Elon Musk Denies Rumors
Responding to Semafor Editor-in-Chief Ben Smith on Twitter, Musk said:
“As I said, neither I nor Twitter received any investment from SBF and FTX. Your article is a lie”
Semaphore claimed that SBF contributed $100 million to Twitter.
According to the news, a meeting took place between the two before Musk bought Twitter for $ 44 billion. It was claimed that SBF could make an investment of $100 million.
However, SBF ultimately decided not to participate in the Twitter acquisition.
Elon Musk flatly denied claims that SBF owns shares on Twitter.
“No. As a public company, it can own a stake in Twitter. But as a private company, it has absolutely no stake in Twitter.”
