Epic Games CEO Tim Sweeney noted that Minecraft has no plans similar to the NFT ban.
Sweeney has responded to requests to have all games containing NFT removed from the Epic Games store.
“Developers should be free to decide how they build their games. You are free to play those games or not.
I believe that stores should not interfere by imposing their views on others. We will definitely not do that.”
Mojang, the developer of Minecraft, one of the world’s best-selling game series, announced that NFTs will be banned within the game’s servers.
Mojang emphasized that NFTs can also be used for fraud and that NFTs do not fit with gaming culture.
