Ethereum developers working on the highly anticipated Merge upgrade said that the likely official date for the transition to Proof of Stake will take place on September 15, which was previously announced. A Developer Provides Information About the History of Ethereum Merge
One of the Ethereum developers gave information about the Ethereum Merge, which the whole market is eagerly waiting for, in a tweet series.
We wrapped up another @etherum #AllCoreDevs earlier, covering all things Merge as well as mev-boost and censorship resistance at the protocol level. This was a much less "procedural" call than usual, and touched on a lot of the "softer" governance questions around Ethereum. https://t.co/qW4buOzHqM

These announcements were also confirmed at the developers meeting held recently. Ethereum lead developer Tim BeikoHe said on the subject:
The tentative date range for September 15 was set at a developers meeting last week, reported by crypto circles. Aside from the high expectations, the Ethereum team has reportedly debunked some common âmisunderstandingsâ about Merge about Ethereum gas fees.
