The minutes of the Fed’s meeting held in May have been published. According to the minutes, many Fed members also supported rate hikes in June and July.
Fed members pointed out that the inflation risk increased upwards. Although the members stated that the US economy is very strong, they emphasized that the labor market is very tight.
All members attending the meeting also supported the shrinking of the Fed’s balance sheet.
Fed members stated that the Fed’s monetary policy should quickly shift to a neutral state.
