First Hearing on Thodex Highlight To Be Held Today

The investigation against Thodex, the crypto money exchange founded by the fugitive CEO Faruk Fatih Özer, who allegedly defrauded thousands of people, was completed, and a 268-page indictment was prepared by the Istanbul Anatolian Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office against the 21 defendants named in the file.

40 thousand 564 Years in Prison

About Thodex, 21 suspects, including fugitive Faruk Fatih Özer, were sentenced to 40 thousand 564 years in prison in total. The first hearing of the case will be heard today. The detained defendants and the lawyers of the parties will attend the hearing held at the Istanbul Anatolian 9th High Criminal Court.

In the indictment prepared by the Prosecutor’s Office, while the fugitive defendant Faruk Fatih Özer was asked to be imprisoned for up to 40,562 years, the indictment was sent to the Istanbul Anatolian 9th High Criminal Court for evaluation, and the court accepted the 268-page indictment.

The details of the indictment prepared by the prosecutor are as follows:

The Istanbul Anatolian Government Chief Prosecutor’s Office prepared a 268-page indictment against 21 people named in the file. While 220 complainants were included in the indictment, 21 people were included in the indictment as suspects. Apart from Fatih Özer, 7 people are accused of being the leaders of the organization and 13 people being members of the organization.

The requested penalties were shared as follows:

21 people, including CEO Fatih Özer, are accused of founding and managing an organization, fraud and laundering their property values ​​resulting from crime. For these 21 suspects in the indictment, a prison sentence of 12,164 years and 40,564 years is sought separately for each of these crimes.

The first hearing of the case at the Istanbul Anatolian 9th High Criminal Court will be held today. The detained defendants, Güven Özer, Serap Özer, Cem Uzunoğlu, Onur Can Gündüz, Ergün Acar and Mesut Can Arbaz, whose names are mentioned in the file, are expected to attend the hearing, as well as the attorneys of the parties.
