Former Facebook Manager Surprised: He Spoken For These 2 Cryptocurrencies!

Former Facebook executive David Marcus talked about two major cryptocurrencies in a recent tweet. On Thursday, August 18, David Marcus, Facebook’s former President of Messenger and Head of Crypto (more specifically, Head of Novi digital wallet) made statements. He is a big fan of Bitcoin, unfortunately he seems to have upset ETH supporters with his recent Bitcoin praise. Here are the details…

David Marcus comments on the biggest cryptocurrencies

cryptocoin.com As we reported, less than four weeks are left for the Ethereum network to transition from proof-of-work (PoW) to proof-of-stake (PoS). Shortly before the protocol upgrade known as “Merge”, Marcus was praising Bitcoin again. This time, however, some Ethereum supporters seem to find his statement offensive. Marcus essentially hinted to his 100,000+ Twitter followers that he thinks it’s better to build on Bitcoin than Ethereum’s upcoming Merge. One of the critics of Marcus’ tweet was Mike Dudas, Founder and General Partner of 6th Man Ventures.

First of all, if we look at Marcus’ tweet, the following statements stand out:

I don’t mean to rant about Ethereum, but with the upcoming merge, I feel great about inadvertently building on Bitcoin. The fact that the network is specific and predictable over a very long period of time creates trust and stability.

Dudas used the following statements in response to Marcus’ tweet:

Then why are you talking about ETH and Merge? Just saying, ‘I feel great about building on Bitcoin’ would have worked. It would not be seen as cursing ETH.
