NFT games are games that add unique digital assets to games using blockchain technology and non-fungible tokens (NFTs), giving players the opportunity to buy, sell or trade these assets. These games allow players to collect, trade and own unique digital assets in virtual worlds.
NFTs are unique digital assets created using blockchain technology. The uniqueness of these assets creates a different value and ownership status for each. NFTs can be used in many different ways, such as in-game items, characters, digital terrains, or other digital assets with unique properties.

NFT games have also become popular with the rise of blockchain technology and NFTs. These games provide players with unique and customizable experiences and are attracting many people as they allow players to sell their digital assets for real money.
We have compiled free NFT games worth checking out for you in 2023…
1. The Beacon
Beacon.gg is an action role-playing game (aRPG) built on Arbitrum. In its current Early Access state, Beacon could be part of a free-to-play NFT game.
Although the game is designed almost flawlessly, it is incredibly limited. Therefore, you can currently visit 3 sections in the game:
- Your house that is empty but can be furnished from the market
- Pub
- A cave guarded by soldiers
Note:Although the game looks promising, there is no clarity yet on whether tokenomics will continue.
2. Delysium
The game is built on Immutable X. You must have a Delysium Multiverse License NFT to play in early access mode. One hundred of these are given as free mints, but you can still get one from a secondary market. Aside from the shiny AAA trailers, the game looks heavily inspired by Cyberpunk 2077. Although not all of them are free, you can access some of the game by meeting the necessary conditions.
3. Oat of Peak
Oath of Peak is an oriental MMORPG published by Bybit’s gaming platform Yeeha Games. The game, recently released on Polygon, offers a complete experience so you can play the entire game. More than $20 million has been invested just to improve the core gameplay, which is impressive considering it’s free to play.
You enter the game as a Spirit Bender ready to ascend to the Omnispirit Realm. These Spirit Beasts roam these vast 3D lands waiting to be caught. The game is also designed to encourage interaction with other players.
Roughly 90 percent of all in-game items are created by players playing the game. So the items come from monster drops, furniture making, capturing soul monsters, getting rewards from raids, PVP, etc. income. Only one small item has been converted into on-chain assets, such as Primordial Spirit Beasts (PSBs), which gives players more freedom to interact with these assets (and potentially sell or trade them on the secondary market).
4. Castaways
Although the game is currently under development, it is quite interesting to play in its current form. You enter the F2P sandbox on a small raft surrounded by the ocean, an island and some other survivors. Floating pieces such as sticks and pieces of rope begin to appear in the water, as well as fish. You can collect these items for free by dragging alongside them. After a while you can start making more advanced items like spears and fishing rods. Once you have a fishing rod, you can start fishing.
You can buy game character NFTs, rafts as NFTs, islands and even treasure chest NFTs. All of these items were distributed to the most active players early in Alpha.
