Sam Bankman-Fried had invested in many companies while FTX was in its heyday. One of those investments was the artificial intelligence company Anthropic. Google Cloud invested $300 million in Anthropic.
Google Cloud Made a Hefty Investment in Anthropic
Google has made a $300 million investment in artificial intelligence company Anthropic, which was previously funded by Sam Bankman-Fried. SBF had invested in many companies and projects before the FTX stock market had sunk. One of these investments was Antropic.
Sam Bankman-Fried had invested $500 million in Anthropic before FTX filed for bankruptcy. Google Cloud, one of Google’s companies, has made a serious investment in Anthropic. Google Cloud’s $300 million investment was announced by the Financial Times. Anthropic did not disclose the amount of the investment, but announced that an investment partnership was established with Google Cloud.
Anthropic confirmed in a statement that it had previously received investments from Sam Bankman-Fried and former Alameda Research CEO Caroline Ellison. Anthropic’s fundraising call took place in April 2022, led by Sam Bankman-Fried.
