FBI identifies perpetrators of 41 million crypto hacks
According to a hot development reported by Arkham, the FBI has determined that the famous Lazarus Group is behind the Stake.com hacking attempt. The hacker removed ~$41 million from Stake Hot Wallets in a series of “unauthorized transactions” on Monday. Since then, the hacker started moving funds cross-chain.
The FBI investigation found that the million-dollar cryptocurrency hack was linked to the North Korean cyber organization Lazarus Group. Hackers began moving stolen funds associated with Ethereum, Binance Smart Chain (BSC) and Polygon networks from Stake.com to the following wallets.

Lazarus Group continues to perform
The same North Korean actors were also responsible for many other high-profile international cryptocurrency heists. According to reports, they stole more than $200 million in 2023 alone. This amount includes approximately $60 million stolen from Alphapo and CoinsPaid on July 22. However, the hacking incidents involving the hacking group are not limited to these. On June 2, they stole nearly $100 million from Atomic Wallet.
