The popular cryptocurrency exchange has made a notable move about its listing prospect, Lens Protocol (LENS). Many on Twitter are hinting that Coinbase’s about page, alongside the price chart for the Lens Protocol token on its platform, is an obvious listing sign. One of the previous major airdrops, Optimism (OP), similarly saw price data listing first, with Coinbase confirming it will list shortly.

Currently, many expect Lens Protocol to be a follow-up project with a large amount of airdrops for users. Lens’s protocol is a user identification protocol in the Web3 domain and is surrounded by many utilities such as the social network Lenster and even live streaming platforms under construction such as Dumpling.

What is Lens Protocol and how does it work?

Lens Protocol is a blockchain-based open-source social platform built to reshape the future of social media concepts in the era of Web3 and decentralization. Lens Protocol was introduced in early 2022 and has gained a lot of attention in the Blockchain and crypto communities thanks to the revolutionary nature of the social networking product and the well-known Aave.

How can I use the altcoin network?

Lens’s design replicates social media functionality in a Web3 context and based on Blockchain technology, smart contracts, and NFTs. Thus, network users have profiles; they can post, share and comment on different types of content, and follow the profiles of friends and opinion leaders.

A Lens user’s journey begins with the creation of their Profile NFT. Ownership over this NFT allows users to add content, connect and communicate with others and gives users control over their data. Specifically, the Profile NFT includes a history of all users’ posts, reposts (also known as “mirrors-lens”) comments, and other content created.

cryptocoin.com As we have reported, LENS basically allows users to create a profile that is a fully malleable NFT. A key difference from other platforms is that profiles are linked to a wallet address, and owners can choose how to monetize their content. A follower can also collect someone else’s post and get a tradable follow NFT.
