Interpol Opens Its Doors In Metaverse

Interpolintroduced the first metaverse designed specifically for law enforcement worldwide.

Interpol, the world’s largest global police organization, has reportedly set up a dedicated team in Singapore to help governments combat crypto crimes. Increasing its connections to blockchain technologies, Interpol has also entered the metaverse.

Interpol Opens Office in Metaverse

At a surprise session of the 90th Interpol General Assembly in New Delhi, Interpol’s metaverse, designed specifically for law enforcement around the world, was introduced.

During the interactive session, delegates of the General Assembly in New Delhi entered the Lyon building digitally via avatars using virtual reality tools and browsed the metaverse.

Interpol Metaverse allows registered users to tour the Interpol General Secretariat headquarters in Lyon, France without any geographic or physical boundaries, interact with other officers through their avatars, and even take extensive training courses on forensic investigation and other subjects.

Interpol’s Executive Director of Technology and Innovation Madan Oberoisaid the following on the subject:

“The Metaverse has the potential to transform every aspect of our daily lives with enormous implications for law enforcement.”
