The Turkish Employment Agency (İŞKUR) has prepared a guide to assist the new generation in their career choices. The guide also includes information on what to pay attention to in the metaverse area.
In the guide, where it is stated that there will be more opportunities for many jobs thanks to virtual worlds, it is stated that the metaverse offers people to be a part of the digital world rather than presenting it. In the guide it says:
“Are you ready to be a producer, not a consumer, of the new world these days, where the digital world is shaped day by day? In Metaverse, people will be able to live their virtual lives in parallel with their personal lives through digital twins. Metaverse is a fictional universe. In order to exist in the digital world, the choice of profession should also target the digital world. It is necessary to focus on what to do in the digital world and where to acquire the necessary skills here. How much digital skills you have becomes the main factor that determines where you will be in the future. In Metaverse, digital reality is spawning a new service industry. This industry demands new jobs and workforces: for example, the clothing or hair designer for Metaverse avatars.”
It is also stated that travel and tourism will be a routine activity in augmented reality.
In addition to the metaverse, the guide also provided information to young people on topics such as digital literacy, e-sports and workforce.
