Lightning Network Fully Compatible with CashApp

Lightning Network transfers are fully compatible with the mobile payment service CashApp.

CashApp is now fully compatible with the Lightning Network for Bitcoin transfer transactions.

Lightning Network Integrates with CashApp

The complete integration will allow transfers of Bitcoin to take place quickly via CashApp.

The mobile payment service first allowed users to send payments to external Lightning wallets (Chivo Wallet, BlueWallet, Muun Wallet, etc.) in February. However, it was not possible to receive a transfer with lightning from another place until yesterday.

CashApp Bitcoin Product Leader Michael Rihani stated that users can make Lightning transfers by coming to the Bitcoin section from the money tab and then sharing the QR codes.

The feature is currently available in the entire US except New York state.

The Lightning Network is Bitcoin’s primary layer 2 payment network. It is designed for fast and low cost transfer of BTC.

Rihani announced that the feature is active for both IOS and Android.

Integration stands out as another step taken by Jack Dorsey for Bitcoin adoption. Dorsey, the former CEO of Twitter, is among the leading Bitcoin maximalists.
