OpenAI CEO Sam Altman will attend a Senate panel for the first time next week as the technology becomes more powerful and pervasive. Altman will testify on Tuesday before the Senate Judiciary Subcommittee on Privacy, Technology and the Law on what laws may be needed to protect Americans as governments and companies begin using AI in everything from medicine to finance and surveillance workers.
