OpenSea Starts Supporting Avalanche Network

NFT marketplace OpenSea has announced that it has added support for Avalanche.

Thus, the total number of blockchains supported on the platform increased to seven.

OpenSea Increases Blockchain Number

OpenSea announced the development on its Twitter account. Platform users can now view, list and swap their Avalanche-based NFTs on the platform.

New collections to be added to the marketplace following the addition of Avalanche support include Chikn, TapTapKaboom, The Stoics, Castle Crush and Open Blox. More collections are expected to be featured on OpenSea in the coming period.

The platform will also work with Avalanche-based NFT platforms such as NFTrade, Joepegs and Kalao.

With the addition of the Avalanche network, the number of blockchains OpenSea supports has reached seven. The platform currently supports Ethereum, Solana, Polygon, Klatyn, Arbitrum, Optimism and Avalanche networks.

NFT marketplace recently announced that it has partnered with Warner Music Group.

The platform remains the best NFT marketplace by volume. However, the crisis in the crypto industry seems to have affected OpenSea as well. The company announced a few months ago that it was laying off 20% of its employees due to economic concerns.
