PayPal Expands Crypto Transfers

PayPal, an international money transfer service, launched crypto transfers last June. Now, the company will offer the transfer service to more than 60 million Venmo users.

PayPal launched crypto transfers in June, now Americans using Venmo will be able to do the same. Venmo customers will also be able to transfer crypto to external wallets.

Nearly a year after PayPal allowed users to transfer cryptocurrencies between its platform and other wallets, the company is preparing to roll out a similar feature to its more than 60 million Venmo customers in the US.

The statement made by the company included the following statements:

“Customers will also be able to transfer to a PayPal account, external wallet, and exchanges.”

In June of last year, PayPal allowed users to send supported tokens such as Bitcoin, Ethereum, Bitcoin Cash and Litecoin to external wallets. However, PayPal’s move came during the tightening of the regulatory environment in the US.
