The Premier League has signed a £30m token deal with Sorare.
The Premier League, England’s largest football organization, has signed an agreement to sell digital tokens to fans.
Premier League Signs Sorare
According to Sky News, the Premier League has shaken hands with Sorare, a Paris-based start-up. The organization will contact 20 teams in the league to discuss a multi-year contract.
It was stated that especially big clubs were called to discuss the proposal.
Sources stated that this agreement will replace the agreement with ConsenSys.
Although ConsenSys wanted to negotiate to renegotiate a lower price after NFT prices fell, the organization’s executives backed out because the deal with Sorare was more lucrative.
Sorare is backed by world-renowned French football player Kylian Mbappe and Japanese technology investor SoftBank.
However, the possibility of a potential agreement between the organization and Dapper Labs is on the table.
The organization has not made an official statement on the matter.
