Puma Launches Black Station Metaverse For NFT Collection

Puma launched its metaverse called Black Station to showcase the NFTs of sneakers.

The sportswear giant stated that it plans to be more active on web3 with this move.

Puma Joins Metaverse

Puma’s sneaker NFTs will be part of the Futrograde collection, which will be showcased at New York Fashion Week starting tomorrow. The shoes in the Puma collection will also be presented in physical form.

Puma is following in the footsteps of another sportswear giant, Adidas, by launching its digital clothing collections.

Adam Petrick, Puma’s chief brand officer, said:

“20 years ago the lack Station was home to PUMA’s most innovative designs in fashion. Given that we are pushing the boundaries from a product design and digital perspective, we found the name Black Station appropriate.”

Puma’s Futrograde collection follows the trend of clothing and luxury brands launching physical products linked to digital assets called “phygitals”. Similarly, luxury clothing brand Prada has launched NFT designs that can be used physically.
