Russia, which is one of the most undecided countries on crypto money regulations, came to the fore this time with the ban on payments with digital assets. This decision, which came while the exact lines were not yet clear in the crypto money law, which has been spoken in the country for a while, aroused curiosity. Putin Signs: Payments with Digital Assets Banned in Russia
Cryptocurrency regulations are among the biggest issues for regulators globally. Regulators, who have not yet reached a joint decision, are therefore worried about regulatory arbitrage. At this point, while there are countries that have a clear attitude towards crypto assets since the first day, there are also countries that make quite contradictory statements on this subject, such as India and Russia. Russia, on the other hand, recently banned payments made with digital assets, as in the case of Turkey, with President Putin signing the law.
However, this law, signed by Russian President Putin, does not only prohibit payments with cryptocurrencies. With the enactment of the law, other digital payment instruments such as crypto will also be banned.
