Social media giant Reddit’s interest in NFT continues.
Reddit has announced that it has launched its Polygon-based NFT avatar collection. Ranging in price from $9.99 to $99.99, these NFTs can be used as profile pictures on Reddit.
In a blog post published by the company, the following statements were made on the subject.
“The Collectible Avatar series are limited edition avatars made by independent artists in partnership with Reddit. These provide unique advantages on the Reddit platform.”
Reddit’s first entry to NFT was last January. The social media giant announced that it is testing a feature that allows NFTs to be used as profile pictures.
Reddit chose Polygon, citing low transaction costs and sustainability.
NFT Avatars can also be purchased with fiat money and credit cards.
