Ripple pointed out that the SEC’s request to appeal the XRP decision should be denied.
For the SEC’s appeal to be granted, Judge Analisa Torres must approve the request.
In July, Torres decided that the sale of XRP on cryptocurrency exchanges was not a sale of securities, and this was a huge victory for the crypto industry.
After the decision in favor of XRP, the price of many cryptocurrencies, especially XRP and BTC, recorded significant increases.
Regulator highlights Binance and Coinbase lawsuits
The SEC objected to the decision, arguing that the decision in favor of XRP could affect many lawsuits, especially the Binance and Coinbase lawsuits.
The SEC accused both Binance and Coinbase of selling unregistered securities last June.
Ripple Labs, on the other hand, stated that there were no exceptional circumstances necessary for the SEC to appeal the decision and asked Judge Torres to reject this request.
