Shiba Inu Partners with UAE’s Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure
Earlier this week, the popular cryptocurrency Shiba Inu announced a strategic partnership with the United Arab Emirates’ Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure (MoEI) to leverage its blockchain applications across various public sector services. This collaboration is expected to significantly enhance SHIB’s attractiveness, which currently boasts a market capitalization of approximately $9 billion as of Thursday.
The MoEI plans to utilize Shiba Inu’s innovative Operating System, known as ShibOS, on their layer-2 blockchain platform, Shibarium. This integration aims to incorporate blockchain-based programs and applications into government services, ultimately streamlining operations, boosting transparency, and improving security measures.
According to Sharif Al Olama, the Undersecretary for Energy and Petroleum Affairs at MoEI, “Whether it’s reinforcing our net-zero roadmap or modernizing how we manage energy and infrastructure, Shiba Inu’s decentralized solutions align perfectly with our mission to remain a global innovator.”
The MoEI oversees critical sectors such as energy, infrastructure, housing, water resources, and transportation. Their key initiatives include the ambitious UAE Energy Strategy 2050 and ongoing efforts to integrate blockchain technology into their operations, showcasing a commitment to innovation and sustainability.
