The Shibarium layer-2 blockchain was released on August 16, 2023 but suffered technical issues. Investors are worried that $1.7 million in ETH has been locked in the Shibarium cross-chain bridge. Except for the bridge, crypto lovers complain that the new project offers an unhealthy user experience.
The Shiba Inu team shared a message explaining these situations after the Shibarium launch. The developers stated that they experienced technical problems during the initial launch of the network due to the high interest they expected.
SHIB lead developer Shytoshi Kusama commented that there are no bridging issues with Shibarium and that the network only crashes after going live due to too many transactions and user flows.
In a recent statement, the team highlighted that they are supporting Shibarium’s operations to enable higher traffic on the network without further disruption. SHIB developer Kaal Dhairya stated that he will inform the Shiba Inu community about the developments soon.
Dhairya also spoke about the screenshot allegedly showing an internal conversation circulating on social media among Shiba Inu developers. The developer said that the images are fake and they have filed a complaint with the necessary departments.
