HMT, the token of the Solana-based decentralized wireless project Helium, rose by approximately 75 percent with the announcement of the mobile phone project.
Helium Mobile said:
“Our nationwide phone plan for $20 a month is being implemented. The average American spends $157 a month on their phone bill. But starting today, anyone in the US can say goodbye to high-priced bills by joining Helium Mobile.”
HNT rose nearly 75 percent to $4.71, compared to Tuesday’s price of $2.74. HNT later pulled back and is trading at $4.28 at the time of writing, according to CoinMarketCap data.
Helium Mobile’s service will only be available in the US. The service was first launched earlier this year for users residing in Miami.
