Disney Gets Further Into The Crypto World With Star Wars NFTs
With Star Wars NFTs, Disney is getting one step closer to the crypto world. Digital toys will cost $39.99. Disney announced the Star Wars NFTs with the “May thr 4 Be With You” commemoration that took place on May 4.
The company added that the partnership will be made with Cryptoys. Cryptoys has announced that, in partnership with Disney, it will sell digital toys designed after the three most iconic characters of the movie franchise. Cryptotoys, backed by Andreessen Horowitz, Mattel and Dapper Labs, said it will release “15 limited edition Luke Skywalker, Princess Leia and Darth Vader collectible digital toys.”
While The Walt Disney Company is one of the most successful marketers and sellers of famous intellectual property products, the Hollywood studio and theme park operator has yet to make a big break in crypto. The company published a job posting covering this field last year.
