Starbucks has made its NFTs available to beta testers in the US.
The coffee empire continues to expand rapidly on the web3.
Starbucks Releases Its NFTs
The Polygon-based startup allows Starbucks Rewards loyalty program members and company employees to earn and purchase digital collectibles in the form of NFTs.
The company says its membership program will provide access to “immersive coffee experiences, from unique products and artist collaborations to invitations to special events.”
These experiences, which the company calls a “journey,” will include playing interactive games designed to teach customers more about the Starbucks brand and coffee. Completing journeys will earn NFTs, which the company calls “journey stamps.”
The first stamps will be inspired by Starbucks’ first store in Seattle’s Pike Place Market, TechCrunch reports. Each NFT will have a point value based on its rarity, and these NFTs will be available for auction on the Starbucks Nifty Gateway-powered NFT market, which will launch next year.
