StarkWare will reposition their companies as Zero Information Technology (ZK) open source to scale Ethereum.
StarkWare, the company that offers the popular Ethereum Layer-2 solution, announced that it will continue its projects as open source using zero information technology.
StarkWare to Make Its Projects Open Source
StarkWare, the Israel-based company behind popular Ethereum Layer-2 scaling solutions StarkEx and StarkNet, today announced its plans to open source STARK Prover software.
StarkWare uses Zero Knowledge (ZK) technology to help the world’s largest smart contract platform execute transactions faster and cheaper. StarkWare leverages Zero Knowledge technology, also known as Zero Knowledge, which aggregates hundreds of thousands of transactions off-chain and then validates them on-chain for only a portion of the chain.
STARK Prover will be renamed Starknet Prover and placed under an Apache 2.0 license. This in turn changes their projects in this space to allow Web3 developers to copy and modify the source code of the software and to evaluate their copies or modifications commercially without paying royalties.
