Tezos has announced that it has accomplished its upgrade called Kathmandhu.
Tier 1 blockchain Tezos has added new scaling capabilities to the new network with its Kathmandu upgrade.
Tezos Released New Upgrade
Kathmandu upgrade released on Tezos’ PoS network at block 2,736,129.
This is the 11th upgrade since the network launched in 2018. With the upgrade, it is aimed to bring the network to a better point in terms of scalability.

According to the official statement, the ability to support off-chain computing through Tier 2 solutions such as optimistic roll-ups has been added and the block verification process has been streamlined for better transaction throughput.
In addition, it was emphasized that Kathmandu offers a permanent testnet for testing new features, and various improvements have been made for enhanced security of the mainnet, among other protocol improvements.
The Kathmandu upgrade was recommended by development firms Nomadic Labs, Marigold, TriliTech, Oxhead Alpha, Tarides, DaiLambda, and Functori & Tweag, which contributed to Tezos last July.
