The pectra upgrade, one of the biggest updates since the transition of the Ethereum network to the proof-of-stake consensus mechanism in 2022, will be integrated into the Main Network of Ethereum on May 7.

Pactra, which was initially scheduled to be released in March 2025, was postponed due to the finality of the Houlesky testnet. However, after these problems, Hoodi managed to work on the testnet without any major problems. In addition, in early March, although a small problem arose on the Sepolia test, this problem was detected and resolved in a short time.
Ethereum’s developers test the upgrades before applying to the main network in testnets. Despite the initial problems, the Holesky testing has successfully finished on March 10th. In a call between Ethereum developers on Thursday, the date of implementation of Pectra on the main network was finalized.
