The Number of Smart Contracts in Cardano Passed 3,000

With the Vasil hard fork, it has the smart contract feature. Cardano(ADA) has surpassed 3,000 smart contracts.

The Cardano blockchain network took a major step forward in September 2021 by supporting smart contracts with the Vasil hard fork. With the inclusion of Plutus Scripts, which represents smart contracts, into the network, there has been a significant increase in the number of users and smart contracts.

Cardano Exceeds 3,000 Smart Contracts

According to data from Blockchain Insights, the number of applications on the Cardano network, which has become more efficient with the Vasil hard fork, reached 3,002 on August 1. When we look at the graph of Cardano, which passed the threshold of 3 thousand with the beginning of August, it is seen that the number of applications increased to 3,015 on August 2.

Vasil Hard Fork Won’t Be Delayed Anymore

Cardano, which has left behind the milestones with Vasil Hard Fork, which has a key role for smart contracts, has been waiting for a new update for a long time. However, the dates for the Vasil hard fork’s upgrade have been delayed several times. After the delays increased, Cardano’s CEO and founder Charles Hoskinson made a statement.

Stating that there will be no further delay in his speech about the Vasil hard fork upgrade, Charles Hoskinson gave the following in his speech:

“The good news is that things that can go wrong are much less frequent and we are now in the final stages of testing. As such, I don’t anticipate any more delays unless something new is discovered. Things are steadily and systematically moving in the right direction and I wanted to let you know that all is well.”
