Circle enables protocol for stablecoin transfers
Circle, creator of the USD Coin stablecoin, has released the Cross-Chain Transfer Protocol (CCTP) for Ethereum and Avalanche Blockchains. Thus, it allowed users to move their USDC stablecoins between the two Blockchains. According to the statement, this protocol burns native USDC on one blockchain and mints the same amount on another. In this way, it facilitates the transfer of USDC between different Blockchain networks and enables asset transfers.
Solana wallet expands to Phantom, Ethereum and Polygon
Solana wallet Phantom has stepped up to move to multi-chain. In this context, it will add support for Ethereum and Polygon Blockchains on May 1. Phantom is an app focused on always providing a clean user experience by displaying NFTs within the wallet. Plus, a secure in-browser wallet extension. It allows users to trade and stake tokens within the wallet extension. Now that it’s multi-chain, every user will see an Ethereum and Polygon address for each wallet address. It is now possible for them to see all their funds across the three networks in one place for each wallet. Instead of having to change the network, which is the way MetaMask works, they will be able to transact from the wallet to one of three Blockchains, depending on what asset they are carrying.
Avalanche (AVAX) applies Cortina upgrade
Meanwhile, Avalanche (AVAX), a proof-of-stake Blockchain developed by Ava Labs, has enabled Cortina upgrade on its main-net by implementing changes that will help optimize the network for developers. Cortina upgraded to the latest version of Avalanche Go v1.10.0, the node implementation for the Avalanche (AVAX) network, around 11:00 pm yesterday. The Cortina upgrade included porting the X-Chain to run the Snowman++ consensus. This means that the entire network has been moved to a single consensus engine. This change is crucial for integrating Avalanche Warp Messaging (AWM) as well as enabling complex X-Chain operations.
