Blockchain gaming company Animoca Brands announced in a press release that Untamed Planet has raised $24.3 million in a Series A funding round led by Animoca Brands, and has partnered with Animoca’s video game arm, nWay, to create a world in the metaverse.
Untamed Planet’s metaverse project will allow players to experience wild landscapes in the virtual world, participate in quests and collect NFT assets.
Untamed Planet said it will donate half of the profits raised to charities and initiatives that support wildlife conservation.
Untamed Planet had released a LEGO version of its previous game on Roblox and reported that the game had over 30 million players.
Untamed Planet stated that the first NFT series of the project will be based on the Solana blockchain for energy saving reasons.
Untamed Planet has stated that it will release its metaverse project whitepaper in June.
