US Treasury Reveals How Investors Can Get Their Funds From Tornado Cash

The US Treasury said investors can apply to get back funds locked in Tornado Cash.

The US Treasury said in a statement today that people living in the US can apply for a license to recover their funds locked in Tornado Cash.

The U.S. Treasury Department’s Office of Foreign Asset Control (OFAC) has updated its “frequently asked questions” section to provide guidance on how those in the crypto industry can stay compliant in the face of Tornado Cash sanctions.

Tornado Cash faced sanctions for being used by North Korean hackers for money laundering.

Tornado Cash sanctions received a great reaction from the industry on the grounds that it would also victimize those who use the platform for legal purposes.
