Vitalik Buterin attended the Kyiv Tech Summit to show his support for Ukraine.
The Ethereum founder said he cares about people in Ukraine and wants to let him know personally that the people at Ethereum care about them too.
Vitalik Buterin Supports Ukraine
Ethereum founder Buterin attended the Kyiv Tech Summit event to show his support for Russia-occupied Ukraine. Buterin’s trip to Ukraine was hidden due to security concerns.
Buterin’s visit to Kyiv came at a time when the war loomed close to Europe’s largest nuclear power plant.
Vitalik Buterin used the following statements at the event:
US Secretary of State Antony Blinken was also in Kiev during Buterin’s visit. Blinken, however, did not attend the event.
The country’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Digital Transformation Mykhailo Federov and his deputy Alex Bornyakov also attended the event.
The event focused on crypto projects submitted to support Ukraine’s freedom struggle.
Buterin, who also provided financial aid to Ukraine, said that he wanted to see the technologies in Ukraine, what they care about and what they have developed.
