Warner Music Group Increases Web3 Activities

Warner Music Group, which has recently partnered with OpenSea, has now stepped up its activities to create a web3-based music platform.

The LGND Music platform will also support digital collections on other blockchains, although its main partner is Polygon. Dutch record label Spinnin’ Records will also be among the partners, according to the company’s statement.

When the platform launches, users will have the opportunity to access exclusive content from their favorite artists.

LGND Music CEO Michael Rockwell said:

“We have been working for over a year to provide the best blockchain experience for passionate music lovers around the world. We expect innovative and unique content from WMG artists of all genres.”

WMG has been seeking various partnerships for the metaverse in recent months.

“We are incredibly excited by the way emerging technologies are changing and challenging the music industry,” said Oana Ruxandra, WMG VP of Digital Business Development.
