Web3 Companies Join Forces at Devcon for Privacy

A group of web3 companies at a side event during the Devcon conference Universal Privacy Alliance(UPA) launched.

The privacy advantage brought by decentralization is tried to be preserved. US crypto mixer Tornado CashAn alliance focused on raising awareness of the need for data privacy and a legal defense fund to support its mission.

Web3 Companies Announce Privacy Alliance at Devcon Conference

A group of web3 companies, the Ethereum Foundation, in Bogota, Colombia. devcon launched the Universal Privacy Alliance at a side event during the conference. The new organization focuses on education on the internet and web3 data privacy.

The alliance includes p0xeidon labs, Manta Network, Nym Technologies, SCRT Labs’ Secret Network, Orchid, Railgun, Status and the Oasis Foundation’s Oasis Network.

The alliance also announced the UPA Legal Defense Fund, which it says will support the main goal of defending the right to test, build and use full-stack privacy technologies.

The group said in a statement, Universal Privacy AllianceRegarding (UPA), he said:

“UPA aims to protect privacy regardless of blockchain or technology stack. It provides the basis for privacy at the local level. Thus, it reveals the security and democracy needed for the development of developing technologies.”
