The largest Ethereum investors known as whales, Apecoin airdropped to members of the Bored Ape Yacht Club community, according to data provided by WhaleStats (APE) to the first place among the most purchased cryptocurrencies. Except for stablecoins like USDT, USDC, BUSD or Ethereum (ETH), Apecoin appears to be the most bought altcoin in the last 24 hour time frame. Meanwhile, the popular metaverse coin holds $172,216 in the wallet of the top 100 ETH whales. The purchases on March 8 came as the price of Apecoin fell 10% to $11.69.

One such cryptocurrency that attracts whales is decentralized through the use of zero-knowledge proofs Loopring (LRC), an Ethereum-based token that enables the creation of exchanges. The API3 project aims to connect traditional application programming interfaces (APIs) to the Blockchain world. Other notable altcoins are decentralized publishing platform Audius (AUDIO), social token platform Chiliz (CHZ), decentralized finance protocol Yearn Finance (YFI), and smart contract platform Fantom (FANTOM).
Meanwhile, Ethereum (ETH) has surpassed all other cryptocurrencies in terms of deep-pocketed investor purchases, with 368 ETH purchased at an average value of $994,008. The stablecoins USD Coin (USDC) and Tether (USD) round out the top 10 list of the most valuable cryptocurrencies.
