How does AirSwap work?
AirSwap Token is essentially a Token for professional market makers or just manufacturers on AirSwap DEX. There is a cryptocurrency that manufacturers want to exchange for another cryptocurrency at a certain rate over a certain period of time. This is called “providing liquidity”. As a result, makers are also called liquidity providers. The price that the manufacturer offers to pay for an asset is called the “bid price”.
The price at which the producer is willing to sell the same asset is called the “selling price”. Traditionally, liquidity providers hold large amounts of a given asset and earn their money from the spread, or the difference between the bid and ask prices. Anyone can become a liquidity provider on AirSwap decentralized exchange. Simply indicate your intention to provide liquidity. You must have 100 AST to indicate your intent to trade. This amount of AST is then staked or locked for seven days.
This amount and lock period are determined by the management mechanism built into the AirSwap Token. AST holders can collectively decide on the threshold and lockout period at any time. For now, locking 100 AST gives the manufacturer the right to issue 10 trading signals. Liquidity buyers or buyers accept a manufacturer’s ask or offer price. They trade for free on the AirSwap decentralized exchange. Even if they don’t have AST, buyers pay nothing to discover manufacturers via AirSwap Indexer, get pricing information from AirSwap Oracle, or close order via Ethereum smart contract.
