What is Bitgert (BRISE) Coin?

Bitgert is a cryptocurrency platform that aims to provide scalable solutions. The platform, whose native cryptocurrency is BRSE, has gained attention among the numerous blockchain projects launched in the last few years due to its claims of zero fees and excellent scalability, as well as some controversy surrounding the project.

What is Bitgert Chain?

Bitgert (BRISE) is a crypto platform that aims to provide a cost-effective and highly scalable environment for projects of various types such as NFT, metaverse, Web3, and decentralized finance (DeFi). Bitgert was first launched as an app on BNB Chain in July 2021. Initially, the project was called Bitrise with its native token bearing the abbreviation BRSE. In December 2021, Bitrise was rebranded as Bitgert. The rebranding did not affect the token or the ticker, and the platform’s operations remained on BNB Chain.

In February 2022, the platform launched its own blockchain network using a proof-of-authority (PoA) verification mechanism. The new network is often referred to as the Bitgert Chain or Brise Chain. Bitgert Chain advertises itself as a platform with zero gas fees and the technical capacity to process 100,000 transactions per second (TPS). This places Bitgert at the top of the speed rankings among blockchains. In fact, only Aptos has a faster maximum TPS of all currently operational chains.

Although Bitgert advertises itself as a “zero gas fee” chain, in reality there are some small transaction fees for using the blockchain. Typical gas charges on Bitgert Chain are small fractions of a penny.

Bitgert supports smart contracts and is an Ethereum virtual machine (EVM) compatible chain that provides a high level of interoperability with the Ethereum blockchain, the world’s largest smart contract platform.

What is BRIE?

BRIE is Bitgert Chain’s native cryptocurrency. Initially, BRSE was launched as a token on the BNB Chain, while its platform then known as Bitrise was an implementation based on this chain. The project continues to maintain an address on the BNB Chain for the token.

When the platform was launched, BRSE was issued as the chain’s native cryptocurrency. Bitgert has launched a buyback mechanism where it buys and burns BNB BRSE tokens. BNB Chain charges 12 percent for each token sale. The buyback program is likely due to the project team’s intention to replace the entire supply of BNB-based BRSE with BRSE released natively on the platform.

The main uses of BRIE include staking and payment of Bitgert’s small gas fees. It can also be used within platform-dependent decentralized applications (dApps). For example, Bitgert’s own decentralized exchange uses BRIE as one of the cryptos available for exchange.

Staking BRIE is possible via BNB Chain and Bitgert Chain. Either way, you can earn BUSD rewards by staking your BRIE. Staking is available for fixed periods of 30, 60, 90 and 180 days. The longer your share, the higher the annual percentage yield you earn.

Bitgert Key Features

Since its launch as a full-fledged blockchain, the Bitgert project has added a limited number of features, services and applications to expand its operations.

Among the platform’s key offerings is Bitgert Startup Studio, a project designed to help promising crypto startups raise investor capital in BRSE through smart contract-based token sales.

The DEX on the platform can also be used for token swaps with ten currently supported cryptocurrencies (BRISE, BNB and eight other tokens based on the BNB Chain).

Bitgert Chain is still a small blockchain with a primitive ecosystem. To connect the Bitgert ecosystem with other larger blockchain environments, the project team is in the process of developing their own bridge applications. Meanwhile, platform users are advised to use the following bridges that support BRSE: Multichain Bridge, IcecreamSwap Bridge and Sphynx Bridge.

Who is the Founder of BRSE?

More than a year after the birth of the project on BNB and nine months after the launch of Bitgert Chain, the true identities of the BRISE founders are still unknown. There are speculations from some online sources that the team behind the project is using Artificial Intelligence (AI) software to spoof their identities.

Bitgert’s website previously featured a “Our Team” page with names that could not be cross-referenced on LinkedIn. The page has now been removed from the website. In the midst of the controversy, the person(s) behind Bitgert stubbornly refused to reveal their identities, even though this is one of the issues that hurt the project’s reputation and brand image the most. The founder(s) still appear regularly in the project’s online communications and various publications and are referred to as the “Bitgert founder”.

How to Buy BRIE?

In order to buy BRIE coin, it is necessary to know the exchanges where this cryptocurrency is located. Then you need to open an account on one of these exchanges and log in to your account. After logging into the account, you need to top up the wallet to trade. You can top up your balance using a credit or debit card, or you can perform transactions via bank transfer. After the balance is loaded, you can buy the desired amount of BRIE and keep it in a hot or cold wallet.
