Garanti BBVA is preparing to launch its crypto wallet and transfer service. According to the information shared by the bank, the first venture of Garanti BBVA Financial Technologies Inc., which was established as a subsidiary of Garanti BBVA, was Digital Assets A.Ş.
What is Garanti BBVA Crypto?
Garanti BBVA Crypto is an application where you can store and transfer your digital assets. Through this new application of the bank, it will be possible to transfer and store Bitcoin and Ether products with the “Crypto Savings Wallet”. In addition, it is expected that the crypto trading feature will be added in the application in the future.
On the subject, Garanti BBVA Deputy General Manager and Garanti BBVA Digital Assets Chairman of the Board M. Çağrı Süzer stated the following:
“There is an intense interest in blockchain technologies around the world. Our country is leading in many aspects in the production and use of new financial technologies. Last year, we established one of the largest teams in the region we are in, and gave our priority to developing resources that are qualified, experienced and capable of producing technology on a global scale. As the first fruit of this, the new venture of Garanti BBVA Financial Technologies Inc., Digital Assets A.Ş, started its activities as the first organic investment of a bank subsidiary. Our application, which is live with its beta version, will initially provide custody services for BTC and ETH through the Crypto Savings Wallet and will continue to work with its expanding product and service structure in the future.”
