The dollar continues to rise.
Dollar/TL started the third trading day of the week above 16.93 level. At the time of writing, the dollar was trading at 16.99. The euro reached the level of 18.14 liras.
After President Recep Tayyip Erdogan’s announcement of interest rates, there was an increase in exchange rates. In the free market in Istanbul, the dollar started the third trading day of the week at 16.93 liras. The dollar closed yesterday at 16.74. President Erdogan used the following statements:
“This government will not increase the interest rate, on the contrary, we will continue to reduce the interest rate.”
